Work has begun on a new SEND Specialist Base for The Hamble School, delivered in partnership with Hampshire County Council through the Southern Modular Building Framework (SMBF). The building will provide a learning environment that supports students requiring specialist educational provision within a mainstream school.
The full turnkey six-bay modular building has been designed to create a flexible and supportive environment for both students and staff. The facility will include two classrooms, a life skills room, a group room, office and meeting spaces, alongside all associated welfare facilities, including accessible WC provision.
Manufacturing of the building is currently underway at Rollalong’s factory, where the modules are being produced in a controlled environment before delivery to the site. This approach helps ensure consistent quality, improved programme certainty and reduced disruption to the school during construction.
Updates will be added throughout the project as manufacturing progresses and the building moves towards installation and completion.
Installation
Another milestone has been reached in the delivery of The Hamble School’s new SEND Specialist Base, delivered in partnership with Hampshire County Council.
Following completion of manufacturing at our Dorset facility, the modules have now arrived on site and have been carefully installed, bringing the project one step closer to completion.
The installation process requires detailed planning and coordination between our teams, transport partners and site teams to ensure each module is positioned safely and accurately.
